Clerical work is often seen as the ticket towards starting a working career and to be able to slowly develop other skills and climb the corporate ladder. While there are people who would despise clerical work, it is basically the foundation of a natural employee in the business world before he can take on the other aspects of rank and file jobs. While minds would be set to accomplishing dreams, everyone knows that the best way to achieve it would be to start from the bottom.
Files are important to a business, especially for storing information that would evidently be important to management once the need arises to go back to historical data where much of the performance evaluation would become a need.
Properly storing information is a requirement. It is not something that is being done to simply archive and get rid of records and transactions after a fiscal year has passed. They are and will always be confidential documents that a company would always look for at any time they deem fit and necessary.
